Summary
Stiles' kidnapper was maybe five feet tall, adorably plump, and probably pushing fifty. Stiles was forcibly kidnapped by this woman. In fact, when he had tried some of the defense maneuvers Derek taught him, she laughed and said encouragingly, “That was a good one! You keep trying. I’m sure you’ll do just fine against your next opponent.” No one must ever know about this.
Or, five times Stiles called for Scott (but got Derek instead) and one time Scott actually came.

Summary
There was something about Beacon Hills. Once it hooked you, it didn't let go. Even all the way across the country, Stiles felt the hot breath on his neck, the claws in his back, trying to drag him back while whispering in his ear, "I'll always be here, you'll always belong to me."
Of course he had thought about staying, one time or another. But it was always that voice in the back of his head that made him spiral out further, push the length of the tether as taut as it could go. He could have a different life on the east coast. He could build something that would stick. He'd almost convinced himself of it, too. Unfortunately for him, there are some things you just can't ignore forever.
And if you bleed for Beacon Hills once, you can be sure you'll bleed for it again.

When Derek dies, he wakes up in Bardo.
He’s still leaning up against that little ruined wall he died on - maybe it came here with his consciousness or something - but there’s no doubt that this is the place Scott described back when he first activated the Nemeton. Bright white fluorescent lights buzz overhead in a vast, low-ceilinged room, both endless and claustrophobic. The whole place is white; impossibly, there are no shadows.
Derek tries to sit up, but his body seems to creak. There’s no pain anymore - not when death is so close, is already here, has already come--
Jesus, he’s freaking dead--
--but every atom of his body is screaming against the movement anyway, like his muscles have been replaced with cotton balls and his bones are made of lead.
