We meet up with Charlotte and Sidney about a month after they have arrived back in New York after their nano-courtship and high-speed wedding in Vegas. We see them navigate the challenges of joining their separate and disparate lives, coming to terms with each other’s history, and the everyday friction of living with another human that will test the unwieldy and uncontrollable love they have for one another.

Summary
Hi! This story is a modern take that places our Sidlotte in a somewhat Hitchcock mixed with gothic novel-inspired tale. At least that’s what I had in mind 🙃. Let’s see if it works! I don’t want to give too much away in the summary.
If this Sidlotte story has been done already, apologies! I haven't read all the great works out there yet!
As with everything I’ve put on AO3, there will be a HEA after some twists and turns. I typically update one or two times per week, work permitting. For those interested…Butter is included 😊 as if I had a choice!
Oh, and it’s rated mature but I’m really bad at ratings so there might (will) be some E as well…and typos (is that the T rating?), there will be unintended typos—consider it part of the mystery we can all solve!

Summary
This story starts the morning after the fire. A lot of things have not happened yet and maybe they never will. Georgiana has not been kidnapped. Charlotte has not yet met Lady Susan. Sidney has not encountered his old love.
Babington is engaged to Esther, though.
Some of the familiar events will happen but not in the same order or way as in the original storyline. In other words, the timeline will be horribly incorrect.
Most importantly, Sidney and Charlotte are definitely not in love.
I hope, you will be able to keep up.
