Xiao had never been treated this gently before. The way the other who the voice belonged to, Venti, who was sat beside him was always so incredibly tender and careful with him as if he was made of the finest china always caused his heart to ache with longing. But...it was nice. Even though it was odd, and it made his insides squirm with an unnamed feeling that made him feel like all the air in his lungs completely disappeared and like his gut was swarming with a thousand crystal flies, he felt..alive.

(This is basically a rewrite of Sister Location, with strong elements of Security Breach and Count the Ways mixed in. This fic also became the introduction to its own big AU/series.)
