Eddie feels like he's floating, his whole body slow and syrupy and tired but that- that was important, what Steve just said. And he should ask what he means, probably. Should ask how he would take care of him, exactly, but his tongue feels heavy in his mouth. His throat lax and tired, and all he manages is to breathe out is a far too honest ”...yeah”
”Ok. Good” Steve says and his voice feels... different. Low and deliberate in a way Eddies never quite heard it before.
The next sound he hears is the low thud of Steve's knees hitting the carpet.

“You hurt my feelings, Hunter.” Eddie gave an exaggerated pout. “Maybe I’m not for sale. Maybe I’m just after a bit of fun.”
“Can’t hurt an Alter’s feelings,” Steve muttered under his breath, taking a sip of his drink but keeping his eyes on Eddie to watch his reaction. It was a wild guess and quite possibly a bad one, and Eddie laughed at his boldness. He rolled his eyes and didn’t dignify the accusation directly.
Summary -
The lost product was evasive this time. An Alter loose in a big city could be difficult to find, but Steve was the best Hunter, highest paid and only available to the company’s top clients.Still, it could be anywhere.

Ettie huffs in exasperation. Enunciating carefully, she says, “Have you tried masturbating?”
