Summary
Jayce and Viktor are hurled out of the anomaly and dropped into the field where it all began. While it seems like the opportunity for a fresh start, Jayce's health rapidly begins to decline. In a desperate bid to save his partner, Viktor makes a series of shocking discoveries about Jayce's body and mental state... leading Viktor to believe that *his* Jayce is not what emerged from the Arcane with him.
Jayce, meanwhile, begins to wonder if he's been changed as well… or, if he even is himself anymore.

A plague was ravaging Piltover, and newly appointed council member, Jayce Talis, appealed to the Count of Zaun for aid.
Notorious cutthroat Count Silco was known for his manipulative tactics and his bottomless disdain for the Lycan. However, to Jayce's surprise, he was willing to come to the negotiating table, but with a few conditions of his own.
One such condition would change Jayce's life and send him on a trajectory far from the champagne meetings and gilded expectations of the Piltover elite.

Viktor’s gaze wavered, something unspoken passing through his eyes before his jaw tightened. “Maybe in your reality,” he spat, voice low and deliberate, each word a precision strike. “But we aren’t partners here, Jayce.” His anger softened, but not enough to mask the ache behind his words. “Not anymore.” He gestured toward the door, his tone final, sharp as a blade. “Now leave.”
Jayce is transported to the alternate reality Ekko and Heimerdinger were in.

“But you knew when you kissed him,” Ekko says quickly. Powder shakes her head, slipping off his lap to put some distance between them.
“I didn’t know–I had my suspicions,” she says defensively. “I only knew for certain when I saw the other Ekko in his own body.”
“Well, now you do know, so what does that mean for you?” he stares at her expectantly. “Do you love him?” Ekko asks bluntly, and Powder can only sit there hopelessly, trying to understand why he's upset.
Or, Powder and Ekko have an innovators competition to attend while navigating the consequences of Ekko’s alternate self paying them a visit.
