Summary
Many times, Malachite Haze had been questioned if there was a ‘Mrs. Haze’ that he was keeping from the public. Henry, in all his masked glory, would oftentimes laugh at the ever prevalent question and reply that he was married to the city and to his job.
It had started off as a joke, but as time went on, Henry found himself actually meaning his answer more and more. The overtime, the demanding tasks, the physical strain, the sleepless nights, etc. All of this, also went without mentioning the first and most important thing that attached Henry to the city.
That, being the fact that not only was he devoted to being Asilo’s fulltime superhero, but he was also tied down to its biggest threat.

The music seemed to become louder by the second and even if he wasn’t the nervous wreck he’d once been in his teenage years, the blond still preferred not to be in overly crowded spaces with way too much noise.
‘Fuck it’, he thought and downed the rest of his drink. It was clear that neither Claire nor Julie would be coming back, at least not anytime soon and as much as he wanted to be mad at them for ditching him, it really was the first time either of them did something like this.
Plus, they could make it up to him another day, the freckled man thought as he pulled out his wallet to pay for both his and Claire’s drink before an unfamiliar voice stopped him in his tracks.
“Hey.” Chuck jumped slightly in his seat and turned to look at the source of the voice.
To his side, a tall, tan man, with brown hair, wearing an orange and black jacket stood, half leaning against the bar while his other hand rested in his pocket.

When he made it to Motorcity, Mike teamed up with Jacob and Texas, later down the line meeting and recruiting Dutch into his small team. He never looked back.
Chuck kept in contact with his best friends Julie and Claire who still lived in Deluxe. He only ever returned once, to get his friend Tooley.
Somehow, in this universe, they all still end up together. It just takes a bit longer than before.
