Summary
"It's just such a blessing," Margaret agreed to something Maddie must've said - something that Buck missed. "At first we thought we'd never become grandparents and now at least one of our children is giving us not just one but two!"
Buck froze in his seat.
The rest of the table did too.
Everyone but Margaret and Phillip Buckley.
Buck didn't even notice the stronger hold on his hand before Eddie spoke up, almost snapping, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"

Summary
Eddie is done with hearing his best friend fawn over an ex that didn't deserve a second of his time...
aka lots of Tommy slander from Eddie, and some first time Buddie content with a healthy dose of service top Buck.

Summary
“As much as I am all for an impromptu wine night, I’m guessing there’s a reason you wanted to come over.” Well, here goes nothing.
“Uh yeah. There is.” Eddie takes another long sip from his glass and then continues to say nothing.
Hen and Karen share a look, clearly trying to be patient with him, but Karen can only stand his bullshit for so long. “And that reason would be…”
“How did you know you were a lesbian?” He blurts it out without really thinking but he doesn’t take it back.
He’s met with an “Oh boy” from Karen and an “Okay this is happening” from Hen. They share another loaded look that Eddie isn’t sure he wants to understand right this second.
(Or: five times Eddie thinks he might be a little gay plus one time he knows for certain)

Summary
Buck’s never been wanted, not really. That’s the truth of his existence, at the end of the day. Born as a saviour only to fail. Neglected by his parents, left by his sister, the only person to make life worth it back then. When he finally, finally decided enough was enough and ran away from home, he thought, stupidly, that being the one to do the leaving might mean that he’d stop being doomed.
It doesn’t. Because now Eddie’s leaving. And it’s worse. It’s so much worse, infinitely worse, in ways Buck can’t quite comprehend. If Tommy leaving was a blow to his self esteem, Eddie leaving – it’s nothing short of an atomic bomb, leaving nothing but dead plants, rotting carcasses and devastation in its wake.------

Summary
“What are you wearing?” Buck asks.
Eddie’s laugh is sharp and loud, not having expected Buck to say that.
“Really? That’s the best you’ve got?”
“Eddie. It’s a classic. Tell me.”
“What if I said I’ve got nothing on?” Eddie asks, purposely pitching his voice lower.
“Hey,” Buck scolds him. “First rule of phone sex: no lying.”
“There are rules?”
“You are so difficult.”
Eddie tells Buck to text him whenever he's thinking of Tommy, so he doesn't have to keep baking. Safe to say, things...escalate.
