This series contains so many triggers that I am going to simply state here as a broad blanket that if torture, murder, the entire spectrum of sexual abuse, suicide, deeply rooted trauma, cult antics (IE brainwashing, manipuation, loyalty testing, etc), religion or any tangentially related themes genuinely trouble you, this probably is not the series for you and I highly encourage you skip it.

“You can come to me for anything. Even if it was to tell me you had a sudden change of heart, and wanted to go be a nun for the Project. I wouldn’t get it, but I wouldn’t hate you for it.” Rook laughed loudly at that, making Earl grin. She needed this.

Maybe if she had been the one captured instead of Hudson, maybe Joey would have had the backbone to do what needed to be done. Maybe all of the Seeds would be arrested now, Eden’s Gate nothing but a memory.
But that wasn't reality. Reality was: Rook was three months pregnant with John Seeds kid all because she didn’t know how to put a bullet into every Peggies skull, because she didn’t know how to be ruthless and bloodthirsty and take pleasure in snuffing out the lives of those who had fallen victim to one of the oldest tricks in the book.
If this was to be reality, Rook vowed to herself and to the life inside her, that she would do whatever it took to make sure they came out on the other side alive.
