Summary
What if Julieta and Pepa had noticed their daughter’s feelings? What if the whole mess of Dolores being in love with Mariano and Isa not wanting to get married had been noticed by their mothers (who are both happily married and should be able to recognize pining/lack of love when they see it…)
So now Isa is happier (still playing perfect, but at least she doesn’t have to marry some dude she doesn’t like), Antonio’s ceremony went off without a hitch, and Mariano and Dolores got married. Luisa is still stressed, but Antonio can help now, with the donkeys and some other stuff.
Bruno is still lonely in the walls.
But, the rats told Antonio about him, so he has company every once in a while. He’s still patching the cracks that appear and parkouring around the edges of the house.So, going from there, let’s say instead of everything falling apart when Antonio is five and Mirabel is fifteen… things build waaaay slower. Almost three years have passed. Mira is almost eighteen, still with no gift, no recognition from Abuela and still feeling like an outsider.
Still with her room in the nursery.
Mariano and Dolores are having triplets.
And… go.
