Zuko cracks open his good eye, if it can be called that in the current state he’s in, “What is it Uncle?” he rasps. Even his voice is tired.
“Prince Zuko, I think you may want to get up for a moment to see this.” Uncle says, looking away from Zuko and towards the ocean. Zuko groans, pulling himself into an upright position and turning towards his Uncle.
“You tell me to rest, and then as soon as I do you disturb me.” Zuko says, irritation as present as the biting cold surrounding them, “What could possibly be so important that I have to see—”
Zuko stops short when he sees her.

When the Moon dies, Sokka is not with Princess Yue, but instead sent on the infiltration mission with the Northern Water Tribe. No one could have expected the death of the Moon, nor the wrath of the Ocean Spirit that followed after. Sokka, washed away by the tides, is surprised to find himself alive and somewhat well on a raft. He’s even more surprised to find that the ones who saved him were Zuko and his uncle. -

Summary
Because there’s one thing that’s unfamiliar. One difference from his usual waking up from a coma routine. Sometimes Chopper is there, checking on him and startled when he’s awake. Sometimes Luffy is in the room, sleeping in a chair while leaning on his bed, or eating some food that was no doubt left for Zoro himself lest he wake up. Sometimes it’s the middle of the night when he wakes up. There are small changes, but otherwise it’s typically the same. This change is notable in its monumentality.

Summary
“You're trying to distract me,” Zoro says.
Sanji hums, drops his head onto Zoro's shoulder, and feels his own pain, feels Zoro's intake of breath. Sits there, kinda sleepy now, Usopp making snuffling noises horizonal on the other side of the table, and Zoro very warm under his cheek. Maybe he is too drunk, because his eyes are closing and his breathing is evening out, and the hurt isn't that much, anymore, can barely feel it at all.
“You little shit,” Zoro says eventually.
Sanji grins to himself, says more to Zoro’s neck, “You think?”
