With the wise advice of his friends, Gus finally doubles down and works out a plan to ask Matt out in the coolest, glamorous way possible, despite Gus knowing the chances of Matt returning his feelings are astronomically low. However, Gus soon finds out that Matt, as the leader of the Human Appreciation Society, has planned a field trip to look into rumors about a human creature roaming the isles, and unfortunately, it's on the same day Gus planned to confess.
