H. has no body. They take over someone else for 24 hours and then they are gone. They don't get to choose who they will wake up as, but they do know that:
1. It is always someone around their age, no more than 3 years older or younger.
2. It is always someone near their last body.
3. The change happens at 00:00.
4. They never get to be the same person twice.They cannot leave any trace of their presence without majorly disrupting that person's life without consent.
But then they wake up in the body of Fleur Delacour. And then in the body of her boyfriend. From that moment on, everything, every day, it all keeps leading back to her.

Summary

It was evident in the dark circles underneath Gert’s eyes, Karolina’s slumped posture, and the way everyone else around her was fast asleep—save Alex, who had been staring out the window. Every time Molly asked why he wasn’t sleeping, he simply replied, “Can’t.” She suspected none of them were really sleeping as of late. Especially not Gert, who tossed and turned at night from nightmares she refused to talk about, no matter how hard Molly pressed.

“Karolina?” Nico gently lifted Karolina’s head. She could feel Karolina trembling, eyebrows twitching in a small grimace.
“I’m going to get you out of here, okay? Everything’s going to be alright.” Nico squeezed, pouring every ounce of comfort into their embrace. “Stay with me?”
Karolina pressed closer to Nico, digging into her warmth. Face buried against Nico’s chest, she gave a weak nod.
