Summary
Hoping to prove Heda Lexa is weak, Nia sends assassins to kill her mate, Clarke. Heartbroken by her loss, Lexa pours all of her focus into leading the Coalition. But, eventually, she meets Costia who teaches her to love again.
Meanwhile, Clarke is trapped in an Azgeda black site fighting to get back to her mate. Years later, Clarke finally escapes, only to come home to find Lexa has moved on and taken a new mate. Heartbroken, Clarke decides it is best for Lexa, her friends and family to believe she is dead.
Clarke wanders the world, drowning herself in her sorrows. She eventually lands in Floukru where she meets Luna and her sister, Valentina. With the sisters' help, Clarke's heart heals and she becomes a doctor in the small fishing village.
Years later, Clarke returns home, after learning her father has cancer. It is here that she bumps into Lexa. After an awkward and emotional reunion, Clarke and Lexa struggle with their feelings as it is apparent their bond cannot truly be severed.
No matter how hard they try to deny it, Clarke and Lexa are falling in love again. But is it too late? Can they rekindle a love they believe ended over a decade ago? As the saying goes, it takes as long as it takes.

Lexa hadn't been doing a very good job of hiding the fact that she's been blazing a trail through the girls in their senior class, and that definitely wasn't the kind of attention she should be drawing to herself.
Clarke was certain Lexa's parents had given her the same speech she'd gotten from her mom about "fitting in" and not drawing attention to their more wolfish qualities.
If they were going to attend a human high school, it was essential that they blend in.
And as Clarke well knew, as all werewolves knew, flaunting their wolfish sex appeal risked attracting the attention of the villagers with their pitchforks, and provoking the endless moralizing that humans used to justify their prejudices and mask their jealousy.
Every little misstep from Lexa felt like a personal slight. A risk that they would be outed to their classmates. And the last thing anyone needed was for the people in this town to discover that they were just miles away from two giant werewolf clans.

Summary
Werewolf AU in which Lexa is assumed to be dead after being bitten by a werewolf (pakstoka). Clarke has been living on the ground with the delinquents just trying to survive. They meet in the woods as strangers and are intrigued by each other.
History Differences
The Ark has much longer before it fails and although the children were still sent down, their wristbands were all removed by Bellamy and everyone thought them all dead except Abby who refused to give up hope.
Finn and Clarke never sleep together. Clarke, Raven and Finn were best friends on the ark with Wells. Clarke and Finn were both sent to the ground with the delinquents and have been surviving for weeks undisturbed, save for some attacks by grounders.
In this world, Lexa was attacked by reapers while in the woods with her betrothed Costia. She saved her but nearly died and Anya found her half-dead and turned her into a Pakstoka (werewolf).
Costia was married off to Azgeda after Lexa was presumed dead and Ontari became the next ruler after winning the conclave due to Lexa's absence Azgeda took over Trikru. Nia is the real person in charge though.
