“Have you started getting ready?” Kaveh says, stepping into the room. Alhaitham lifts his head up from his book, blinking at his husband by the door way, who is in the process of putting in his earrings. He’s dressed in a nice button up shirt, but only wearing boxers below the waist.
“Ready?”
“For the dinner? To celebrate Collei’s acceptance into the Akademiya?” Kaveh replies, annoyance already apparent across his face. His eyebrow twitches, jaw clenching just the tiniest amount, and Alhaitham quickly places his book down on the table next to him.

“Which one should I use today?” Kaveh fucking purred and the pinging sound went off the wall. There was a soft, low chuckle from the omega and some shuffling, then a loud smack! that had Alhaitham throwing the door open.
He was feral, ready to fight whoever had dared lay a hand on Kaveh, but the omega was alone.kaveh has been paying his rent on time, alhaitham is suspicious.

The idea that someone else- be it alpha, beta or omega- wanted to collar Kaveh had Alhaitham’s alpha rearing its head immediately and suddenly his task of washing the mugs was forgotten and all he could think about was finding the most perfect collar to latch around Kaveh’s throat.

Kaveh blinks at him, something in his chest unraveling at the sight. “What are you doing here?”
“This house has multiple potential incursion points. This is the best location for me to be sure I remain between you and any incoming threat.”
