Summary
There is nothing off about the scene – grass is softly swaying in the wind, the old yet still intact Sandbearer Tree casting a shadow on the ground beneath. Yet, there is an uncanniness to it all. The Agent seems to have merely taken a rest, laid down in the soft grass, only to have never woken up again.
---
As Childe is preparing to return to Snezhnaya after his long stay in Liyue, he is suddenly interrupted when a Fatui Agent turns up dead under his watch.
At first intending to stay only until this case is wrapped up, all of his plans are put on hold as it appears his business in Liyue isn't about to be finished anytime soon.

Summary
Hallucinations greet Kakavasha in the place of his vision, on the bridge between his mind and his barren optic nerves. Visual and strange, like daytime dreams with no tether to the appearance of reality. Kakavasha sees his own face in these visions, abstract and inhuman. He sees his big sister, standing far in the distance from him, crouched on the ground but smearing away in an array of brand new colors that never existed when he was sighted.
What if Aventurine really did sell his eyes?
A canon divergent story that focuses on Aventurine through the events leading up to Penacony, his mission, and the bittersweet aftermath... and falling in love with his colleague, Dr. Ratio.

Summary
Society favors only the most dominant and ambitious of the designations, leaving the rest to be forgotten and ignored. Born into the wrong designation, Kaveh exhausts all avenues to make a stable life for himself, only to undo it all by his own making.
“You're an omega, aren't you?”
As loveless as the offer may be, becoming ‘official’ mates was a mutual benefit for both of them. Alhaitham could live more comfortably, while Kaveh was guaranteed safety.
Tolerance of one another was the lowest price they had to pay.Bookmarked by Meruxxin

Summary
“You might want to review your contract,” Aventurine said, with an easy smugness that evoked pure Schadenfreude. “Funny little thing called a spontaneous travel contingency clause. Up to 80 hours of on-site consulting—paid, of course—if the asset liquidation specialist deems it economically valuable.”
When the IPC’s newest Stoneheart drags Ratio along on a debt case seemingly for no reason other than his own amusement, Ratio wastes no time adding Aventurine to the list of people he’d strangle if it wouldn’t jeopardize his career. Upon their arrival on Xin-41, however, Ratio begrudgingly deems his contempt for the planet’s intellectual oligarchy stronger than his contempt for his insufferable colleague. Even more begrudgingly, he finds himself drawn in by the web of mysteries lurking not just within the Slinkans’ ivory tower, but within the depths of Aventurine’s dangerously inscrutable mind.
Through deadly equations, volatile spices, and the ‘warning’ of a brutalized corpse left out under the summer sun, Xin-41’s insolvency reveals itself as something deeply sinister, with threads tying back to the early days of the IPC... and to one of the Intelligentsia Guild’s most infamous scholars.

Summary
“All I ask is to please don’t get attached, Mr. Ratio.” Topaz warned, her gaze turned serious. “You know what the outcome is going to be, no matter what happens in the coming days.”
Veritas’ jaw clenched for a brief moment. He’s already braced himself for this conversation, the weight of the coming words settling in his mind. It was a cold truth, a necessary one, but the genuineness behind it was appreciated. "I assure you, Ms. Topaz, I am fully aware of the impermanence of this situation. It’s one person, it won’t get to me.”
A 'what if' canon divergence in which Aventurine had never became one of the ten-stone hearts, is nearing the end of his death sentence, and spends his final days under house arrest. While Veritas finds himself torn between loyalty to the IPC, and the man he comes to know.
In other words: A romantic tragedy where love destroys Veritas.

Summary
The man bristled, his gaze darting around with nervous uncertainty. “What’s the catch?” His tone was wary and thick with distrust.
“As I said,” Veritas gripped his sleeve, trying to temper his frustration, “you will be my lab assistant.” He paused. “This does mean that you will take orders from me, but it will be as an employer, not a master. You maintain the right to refuse and leave my company at any time, however, as one with far more experience in navigating the real world, I would not advise doing so until you have a stronger foundation.”
“...” The former slave’s expression flattened into something difficult to read. He almost looked like a different person altogether without his usual facade of faux-confidence. “You’re a strange man, doctor.”
“So I’ve been told.”
--
Ratio is 'gifted' a slave. Even though he frees the man from his service immediately upon arrival, he can't help but feel responsible for the well-being of a person with nowhere else to go.
So, in lieu of any better ideas, he takes the former slave on as his lab assistant. Just until he gets back on his feet, of course.
