    Metal teeth dug into him. Sharp, claw-like prongs gripping onto skin and pulling downwards, strips of tissue and muscle going with it. A rush of dirty swamp water pushed into the open wound, pressure indescribably building around his leg.

    It was supposed to be an official trip with diplomatic purpose. It wasn"t. It was all a lie. A set up. A trap. And now, Vax"ildan, Vex"ahlia and Percival are imprisoned in an unknown location. Their unknown jailer wants something from Percival and is not above doing terrible things to his husband and sister-in-law to force his compliance. But the trap that snared them involved magic that inflicted grievous injury upon the Celestial Champion of the Raven Queen, and his condition worsens day by day. Vex"ahlia sees an opportunity... if Vax gives in to death, he will regenerate... and escape to launch a rescue... but with the abuse that Percival is being put through, Vax isn"t willing to leave him...

    But... he also may have no choice...
