So when the Light Dragon starts to dive into the Depths, which have remained dark and uncharted since the Gloom faded away, he prepares to descend as well.)

Summary
In a time of relative peace, Hyrule's world is turned upside down when malice begins to seep from the very core of the kingdom. Cut to a stone, a history...or rather a prophecy? A strange Hylian depicted amongst it all.
What if Link were the one transported back in time instead of his princess? What if Ganon were far more insidious than the strange murals beneath the castle could have ever portrayed?
Link meets a familiar face hidden beneath the catacombs of the castle though he does not know it yet, and he must find his way home again. But can he do so when he is not even certain he was ever supposed to be here in the first place?
The voice sends shivers up his spine, raising the hairs at his nape.
The Demon King growls, "Hello, pet."
He doesn't know if the goddess means for him to survive this.

Summary
Link reaches towards the sword. He knows the way it will feel in his palms before he even touches it, knows its weight with the intimacy of the calluses that kiss his fingers. He knows her.
His hands wrap around the grip, and the sounding chimes begin to morph into words, almost discernible but– not quite. When he pulls, the soul of the sword reaches into him, and he smiles at the rush of familiarity.
Suddenly, the blade stops moving. Only about halfway out of the pedestal, it rattles, clinking against the stone it’s rested in. The spirit searching within him screams.
And Link burns.
