“You are thinking very loudly, my dear,“ Yennefer sighs, her breath tickling Geralt‘s neck from where she‘s resting her head.
A smile twitches on his lips. “I apologize for interrupting your beauty sleep,“ he replies wryly.
Jaskier makes an affronted noise on his other side. “She doesn’t need any beauty sleep, have you seen her?“ he mumbles, without lifting his own head from Geralt‘s stomach.
He is very much like an overly affectionate cat sometimes and Geralt dutifully reaches out to pet his hair, enjoying the way Jaskier turns into his touch immediately.
“You‘re right of course,“ he says, looking over at Yennefer who is now propped up on one bent arm, watching them with a small smile. “May I make it up to you?“

Summary
When Clark stays over at Bruce's lake house after a terrible day, they finally confront the guilt they both still carry within them and it might prove to be the start of something new.

Bruce grips his full coffee mug and turns back around to look at his impromptu houseguest. Clark still looks disheveled, but at least he‘s not covered in blood and debris anymore after his shower. He obviously didn’t comb his hair after it though and Bruce‘s treacherous heart skips at the sight of the messy curls revealed to his sight, instead of Clark‘s usual sleek and put together appearance.
In all the time Bruce had to learn just how human Clark truly is, he‘s never seen Clark look so human before. The way he’s sitting in Bruce’s kitchen in the middle of the night, with tired and vulnerable eyes looking back at him, Bruce wonders how he ever believed Clark to be an evil threat needing to be destroyed.

Sam wishes them a goodnight, yawning around the words, and claps Cas on his back when he passes him by. It’s a comforting touch, meant to reassure them both that they’re still alive and well, and Dean immediately longs to do the same. To put his hands anywhere on Cas’ body, to make sure that their friend is truly okay. His fingers twitch restlessly and he balls them into a fist, to keep himself from reaching out.
