Osha isn't sure how they ended up here. Well, she knows how they got here physically, at least. By The Stranger's - Qimir's ship. A little hole-in-the-wall bar on a tiny rest stop of a planet full of strangers and criminals. She supposes that both of them fit that mold, two halves of a whole, steeped in the tinge of darkness. But she's also wondering, in the back of her mind, how they ended up here. With Qimir's lean form a heavy presence at her side, a cool drink in one hand, the other resting on the nape of her neck. Her hand on the tinted saber attached to her belt, the other gripping his thigh. And, the most dumbfounding part of it all, is the easy smile spread across Qiumir's face, a real one. His dark eyes light with mirth and his body at ease, as much as it can be considering who he is. And he's talking. A lot. With people at this tiny bar. And they all seem to know him. To like him. He only ever talks to her, and she can horrifyingly feel a twinge of jealousy and possessiveness.
Osha isn't sure how they got here, but somewhere in her swirl of emotions, she isn't so sure she wants to leave.

Viktor sputters incredulously, but Jayce powers on) “— I’m dragging you back to…” he blinks. “Who am I dragging you back to? Who do you have looking after you?”“I do not need a babysitter,” Viktor scoffs. “I have been through worse. I will be fine. I will pay someone to deliver some meals and take the week off work.”
Jayce looks at him like Viktor’s just said something incredibly and unbearably sad.
“So,” Viktor continues, “are you going to do the laundry, or not? If not, I will find someone else.”
Jayce is silent for a long moment. Then:
“Yeah,” he says. “I can do that.”
Viktor resigns himself to recover from spinal fusion surgery alone. He fails to account for Jayce's fervent desire to serve him.

Jayce Talis was young when he met Viktor at the river. It definitely wasn't something his mother approved of either, her omega son regularly talking alone with a random alpha of the undercity. There friendship felt so short-lived when he was banned from going to the river where they met. But even after years of studying magic and the Arcane, Jayce would never forget the voice of the alpha he met. But it's a lot harder to bond with him once they're both older and Viktor is so focused on Jayce's findings instead of Jayce's kind of obvious crush on him.
