Summary
“It’s not the fall, it’s the landing.”
Who first said that? He tried to remember as he Fell. The wind did not whistle past his ears, as there was no atmosphere. No atmosphere and no gravity and yet, inexorably, he Fell.
***
Note that one of the tags is spiders. The story isn't all spiders all the time, but there are going to be two chapters in which spiders play critical roles in the plot. If you're severely arachnophobic, this may not be the story for you.

Summary
The apocalypse was stopped but it didn't stop the ineffable departure of god from our world - nor the effects of that departure on the closest to the almighty's grace.
