Along the way, they fell in love but neither of them said anything about it until while losing horribly against Kun in a video game, she falls into Kun's lap while trying to snatch his controller away.

He knows that tone. He knows what it means when two friends sit down in front of a third friend like this. He knows what those smiles mean, that flirty tone, the fond look. But he’s underwater, and he’s drowning, because why the fuck would it happen with Johnny and Kun.
“We,” Johnny says, clasping Kun's hand with his own, “are together.”
