Summary
"So, my school is doing a presentation thing for Mother's Day. With dancing and cards and stuff. I was voted to make the starting and ending speech," he smiled shyly, still not looking at Buck.
"Wow, that must be special. How do you feel about it?" he asked, hoping against hope it's the right thing to say.
"It's good that they chose me. But it feels a bit weird, since my mom isn't going to be there to see it," he grimaced, and Buck was glad the kid wasn't looking, because he's sure his sad expression wouldn't be easily hidden. What to say to this boy who's experienced such loss at this young age?
"I'm sure she'll be watching, from wherever she is," he answered, and Chris nodded.
"I know, I know. But that's not my point," he gestured, suddenly agitated, then looked at Buck. "It feels unfair to have Dad go, since he gets all the Family Day and Father's Day cards and gifts and everything. So I want to know if you'd go. You know, to be my mom."
or the one where Christopher Diaz needs a mom, and Buck is the closest thing.

Summary
"Yeah, I never learned. Left home too early, and my mother didn't know either. You're the first to point it out, though," he added.
"I would like to think I know you quite well now, and I did notice," Stede replied, wanting to know what in Heaven would elicit such a furiously startled expression from his friend, but not being brave enough to ask. It was not the goal of this interaction, anyway. "I meant to mention it because I can teach you, if you'd like. Like we've been teaching each other fine things and pirate things."
"You'd do that?" Ed smiled, that excited smile he would give his co-captain, like he wouldn’t believe his luck.
For you? Anything, Stede thought. "Of course! We can start tomorrow if you'd like!" he said instead.Stede offers to teach Ed how to read and write. Despite all the words they learn, there are many left unsaid.

Summary
“Miss Knotwise, your assignment in Chronurgy magic and the inherent scrambling of timelines is back at your desk, properly graded. I would very much enjoy having some tea over it later, when you don’t seem quite so busy,” he eyed the closed books and rolled up scrolls of parchment around them. Sofia grinned.
“I’d love to do that, Professor Widogast! Maybe after the Feast, when I’m not so caught up on this project?” she asked, and he nodded. Narr knew that other people would be very much suspicious of his friend if she said something like that to them, but Professor Essek wasn’t prone to imagine people were doing something nice for him. Even after years and years of teaching and receiving various gifts from his students, he always had that surprised look of awe and pleasure every time they gave him something. Maybe that’s why giving him presents was so good.A bright young student at the Widogasts' Whistling Towers decided to give her Professors a Winter's Crest gift.

Summary
“What are you wearing?” Buck asks.
Eddie’s laugh is sharp and loud, not having expected Buck to say that.
“Really? That’s the best you’ve got?”
“Eddie. It’s a classic. Tell me.”
“What if I said I’ve got nothing on?” Eddie asks, purposely pitching his voice lower.
“Hey,” Buck scolds him. “First rule of phone sex: no lying.”
“There are rules?”
“You are so difficult.”
Eddie tells Buck to text him whenever he's thinking of Tommy, so he doesn't have to keep baking. Safe to say, things...escalate.

Summary
But lying here, loose and relaxed, with a warm flush spreading over his skin and a lazy sense of pleasure singing in his veins, he’s a little too gone to care. Buck’s voice is dripping in starlight, hot and familiar in his ear, and with his eyes shut he can almost pretend that he’s here, beside him. He can almost pretend it’s Buck’s fingers that are making him feel this good; can almost pretend that Buck’s eyes are on him, dark and wanting as he watches Eddie lose himself.
Or, the one where Eddie has lots of very homosexual gay as fuck thoughts about men. And about Buck. Mainly Buck.

Summary
His dad wanted to make sure he was always loved, always taken care of. Chris knew with his entire being that if his dad couldn't be the one loving and taking care of him then there was no one who would do a better job of it than Buck.
But apparently, this 'Evan' guy was written in his dad's will as the person to take care of Chris.
But that's stupid, that's the stupidest thing Chris ever heard. Chris needed to know that if he couldn't be taken care of by his dad then he'd be taken care of by Buck.
There was only one way Chris could make sure Buck would be the one taking care of him. He needed Buck to adopt him, as his stepfather.
It was a great idea, really. Chris didn't know why he's never thought of it before.
It was a win-win-win scenario. Chris got to be taken care of by his dad and Buck, his dad and Buck each got to marry their best friend, and this Evan guy could never take Chris away from Buck if his dad got hurt.
So, obviously, his dad had to marry Buck. All they had to do was fall in love. Chris didn't think that would be too hard for them.
//OR//
After Eddie gets shot, Chris overhears a conversation about the will.

Summary
“You weren’t supposed to see that.”
“Eddie, this is…” Buck murmurs, his voice fading out when he still can’t find the words he’s looking for.
He glances back over the drawing again, desperate to take more of it in - to greedily gulp down all of the beauty that the artwork holds. And Buck’s breath catches in the back of his throat when he notices something else: there’s a pink splotch above Buck’s left eyebrow, but - but it’s drawn in the shape of a loveheart.

Summary
There is a box, in Eddie’s mind.
There is a box, and in it he places all the things he can’t have: pink nail polish, and rainbow hues, and storm grey eyes. He fills it until it is full to bursting and he clicks it shut.
He locks his box and he throws away the key.
Years later, there will be a boy, and his clever fingers will reach into his skull, untangle the knot of fear and hate and longing and repression that resides within his brain, and unlock the lid.
For now, the box will be forgotten.Or, Eddie is lost, and lost, and found again.
