Ginny grinned, eyes lighting up. “We made some plans tonight.”
Hermione’s skepticism was evident on her face. “Plans?”
“We won’t hear any excuses, Granger. Theo Nott opened a pub a few weeks ago. Very exclusive. He reserved a private area, just for us.” Pansy leaned in, a conspiratorial look on her face. “And we may have invited a few old friends. One of whom might be interested in… helping you move on.”
Hermione narrowed her eyes. “Helping me move on?”
Ginny placed a reassuring hand on her arm. “Just humor us for one night. If you hate it, you can leave.”
Hermione pretended to consider for a few moments. In all honesty, she was ready to have a night of fun, to stop moping around feeling sorry for herself while Ron was out traipsing the world with his mistress. She could have just as much fun as him.
“Fine,” she conceded. “But he better not be a Weasley—no offense Gin. Or a quidditch player.”
Pansy and Ginny exchanged another look.
“Maybe just… recreationally a quidditch player,” Ginny mumbled.
Or a cutesy holiday special where Draco and Hermione agree to help each other move on.
