She covered her face, embarrassed. Peeking through her fingers, she saw that he was laughing, of all things.

Draco waved him off, not bothered. Unfortunately, a new image played in his mind. One of Hermione glowing, her belly swollen with their child. His mate would be so beautiful. Draco cursed himself internally for his wayward thoughts. She wasn’t his mate, and she wasn’t having their pups.
He downed the rest of his whiskey, vanishing the glass with an irritated flick of his wrist.
“You’re fucked, mate,” Theo snorted, leaning into Charlie’s chest.
“What are you on about, Theo?” Draco sighed, turning to glare at the brunette when his eyes locked with radiant chocolate ones striding into the hall.
A hush fell over their group, and Draco’s heart skipped a beat. Flakes of charmed snow dusted the tops of her beautiful, wild curls. Golden light spilt from the entrance, bathing her in it like an ethereal goddess, and Draco almost dropped to his knees.
