Summary
In an attempt to fix the mistakes of the past, and make up for where the gods have failed, the residents of both camps have made a point to check in on whatever mortal families are out there missing a child. Not every demigod who died during the many battles is missed by their mortal family, but those that are missed dearly often left their families with no closure and not even so much as a grave to mourn at. Among those on the list of those who need to be visited is one May Castellan, who is permanently waiting for a son who will never come home. A rotating schedule of demigods stops by her home every weekend, bringing small gifts and a mountain of groceries. This system runs rather smoothly and then, one day, Jason Grace invites himself along for a visit.

Summary
Jason's not sure how he got here, but his new mom seems nice (if a bit unstable) and it's nice being cared for. Who cares if she calls him Luke instead of Jason? It's not like there's anybody out there to miss Jason, but clearly this woman missed Luke, so really, what's the harm?

Summary
Among the most important students waiting to be sorted were a Weasley, a Potter, a Longbottom, a Granger, & a Malfoy. In another world they'd have entirely different lives, but in this one things occurred as follows:
Peter Pettigrew's betrayal was prevented but it was not enough to save everyone.
James, Lily, Alice, and Frank were killed by Death Eaters due to a yet undetermined string of deceptions, but Harry and Neville both survived.
The two boys were entrusted to Minerva McGonagall & sent to live under the protection of Hogwarts as investigations occured within the Order of the Phoenix.
Harry was eventually entrusted to his godfather to be raised in the Black family home by Sirius & Remus.
Neville's family asked that McGonagall take him, not wanting to put a target on their backs. Wards were placed around her home & they spent the summer holidays there.
The hat made more interesting decisions, leading to a path of reconciliation & new friendships.

Neville & Harry could both be the chosen one, & their parents are dead, but they're still being raised right. Canon sorting was thrown out the window, & I've been heavily influenced by TikTok

Summary

So when, for the first time in a long time, a foster agency reaches out to ask if he's still open to fostering, well of course he jumps on the opportunity. Which somehow leads to a whole horde of children infiltrating their lives.
