Noctis is supposed to follow through on marrying Luna to ensure the peace between Lucis, Niflheim and Tenebrae and Prompto - well, Prompto falls through the cracks. He takes the brunt of the media's outrage leading to him being kicked out of home, expelled from school and landing on the streets with no home, no money and no friends.
It's a good thing that Aranea picks him up and offers him a job as a hooker, right?
