Not all florists had to learn the language of flowers, but Haibara was the type to go above and beyond when it came to his profession. His sister would tease him for his memorization, but there was a group of customers that enjoyed being able to send messages to those they loved and cared for, repeating the meanings Haibara would tell them to the recipient. It made flower gifts all the more special in Haibara’s eyes. Each of his little buds held a meaning to be given, whether for love, grief, hope, he truly enjoyed his work, though he also understood not everyone understood nor cared about flower language. To most flowers were just pretty decorations, and thus if someone made a bouquet that held a flower with a bad meaning he always marked it as folks being ignorant and just going for aesthetics. He had a passion but Haibara wasn’t about to argue with a paying customer, even if he secretly found it a bit funny. That was until one day when a certain blond haired businessman came in.

The morning started as most of their mornings did, Nanami waiting for a sleepy Haibara with still present bedhead to enter the student dining hall to join him for breakfast. Haibara would then press a kiss to Nanami’s cheek, wish him a good morning with a yawn, and sit down to eat, through bites of rice and eggs Haibara would tell Nanami about what he dreamed of last night if he remembered. If he didn’t, Haibara would chat with Nanami about whatever gossip they heard, things their senpais had done, or rumors about curses. Nanami usually liked their morning routine, and couldn’t help but let a small smile melt through his usually icy expression as he ate his own breakfast and listened to Haibara chatter, it was just there was one issue with this specific morning.

Gojo is unimaginably rich, uninterested in picking a life path, and has decided that zero expectations are way worse than crushing ones. Geto is on track for the operating stage, in love in a horrible way, and decides at least weekly that Gojo is really full of shit.
Nanami is horribly in love, so much he sometimes disgusts himself, and is the most cowardly person he knows: how can he predict the market on instinct but can’t even tell his best friend how he feels? Haibara is happy, lucky, and just likes being around his friends—a party or trip sounds like a blast to him, as long as his best friend is by his side.
Shoko lets Gojo and Geto's inanities float by her as easy as smoke, and her heart hurts for Nanami’s gloomy lovestruck eyes, but it’s really annoying that now that she’s finally ready to stop being 'pure,' all the boys she knows seem to just want each other. Ijichi, to his surprise, got spoken to on the first day of classes this year, and right now, he’s just grateful to Shoko for her kindness, and he doesn’t mind the smoke—or the occasional meaningless touches, for that matter.
The six of them are rich always, bored a lot, irritating sometimes, and loving probably, somewhere deep down inside.
