'No stupid ring is going to foil Billa Baggins!' She shouts, waving her fist at the sky, 'By the Valar, I'll save those dwarves, be rid of that ring and protect Frodo. You hear me! I'll do it even if the breath leaves my body first!'

If there is one thing Billa Baggins isn’t, it is a hero. But when Billa finds herself in the past--before that dratted quest to reclaim Erebor even began--she may find that a hero is exactly what those daft dwarves of hers need. Because this time everybody lives.

If only Thorin would stop distracting her with that stupid smile of his first.

    Fem!BilboxThorin. Time-travel fix it.

Wooley: can we arrest people for yelling this early?

There were two figures standing at the foot of General Kenobi's statue with their backs to Wooley, an adult with a hood, and a child with light hair. The child was pointing at a puddle of Temple tookas who were curled up in General Kenobi’s lap, lounging in the stone folds of his robes, the bend of his knee.

    Wooley: belay that. Child nuisance.

    Summary

“Master Yoda,” Senator Antilles began, face a moue of disdain, “would you care to explain how a thirteen year old padawan came to be abandoned in what—at the time—had been an active war-zone where several substantiated reports confirmed the hunting down and execution of children?”

Yoda sighed, while Mace valiantly struggled to keep the shock off his face because what?!?

“Extenuating circumstances there were,” Yoda started, head tilted in a way Mace knew was intended to make the jedi master appear old and feeble. “Did the best he could, the master did, under the circumstances.”

Using the breathing technique his mind-healer had recommended to curb his aggression, Mace tried to reconcile how Kenobi had been left in a war zone and Yoda kriffing knew about it.

Or the events of A Home for a Padawan from the Order’s perspective, featuring a protective Quinlan and an exhausted Mace.

A series of outtakes and deleted scenes that I wasn’t able to work in to my fic, A Home for a Padawan

If you haven’t read that, I recommend giving it a quick read as this won’t make much sense otherwise.

“…I…” Obi-Wan began, only to pause, and Nield tightened his hold on the boy. Not to restrain, but to remind him that he was in a safe place. A place that wouldn’t judge him. Wouldn’t make little of his feelings the way that asshat Jinn had.

Obi-Wan was theirs. Their responsibility. Their friend. Their idea of home. They would never judge him. Not now, not in a hundred years.

Belonging to someone shouldn’t mean you were wiling to sacrifice the person you were, to fit an idea.
