“Since Batman and the JL here are young enough not to have any of the protocols in place yet, there is a…backup.” For the first time N seemed unsure, chewing on his bottom lip.
“A backup?” urged Superman, when N didn’t continue.
“It’s a bit...uncouth,” he said, glancing over at Batman, who immediately looked suspicious, “but it gets the job done. At least to figure out whether it’s time or dimensional travel. The other two obviously don’t apply here.”
“What are we waiting for then?" said Hal. "Do it.”
N took one last glance around the table before his eyes landed on Green Arrow. “Oliver.”
Taken slightly aback at his real name, he replied, “Yes?”
N leaned forward a bit, hands threading together in front of him on the table, and with a completely serious expression asked, “did you have sex with Bruce Wayne?”

Summary
Dick wished he could say the vows were a blur. Instead, he remembered every moment, every word. The way his hands felt in Slade’s, calloused and warm. The way the ribbon wound around their joint hands, a dark blue that made Dick’s skin crawl. Defiance colors, Slade’s colors.
The way Slade looked into his eyes when he said, “I do.”
Dick’s throat closed over as the officiator repeated the vows to Dick. He couldn’t look away. “I do,” he said, clear and strong.
In order to keep Gotham's borders safe from the ever-closer threat of Ra's al Ghul, Dick is wed to Slade Wilson, king of Defiance. As their time together grows, Dick realizes Slade can give something to him that no one else had before--his own surrender.
