The strangest thing, really, is how it all mixes together—dream and reality, that is. Because each dream is hazy, yes; still they’re tethered somewhere. Still Kazuma knows, yes, they really did have that stupid, meandering argument in the middle of that restaurant; still Kazuma knows, yes, Ryunosuke really has been inside him, filled him up full.
Or maybe he hasn’t. It all feels real, is the thing, even if the finer points get lost. But just as Ryunosuke does get a little too fired up on the merits of beef versus chicken, he doesn’t reach for Kazuma. Doesn't take Kazuma’s hand in his, or cup Kazuma’s cheek, or wrap his arm ‘round Kazuma’s waist. You can draw your own conclusions.
