Yor is sitting on the couch, hands folded in her lap. She looks lost in her thoughts. Her back is ramrod, her chin tilted up, her jaw set. The remnants of a fierce, determined expression linger on her face, rendering her otherworldly and immoveable.
She looks like a goddess: powerful, distant.
Untouchable.
But then Yor swallows, and suddenly, her eyes fill with tears. Her next breath trembles. “Can I have a hug?” she whispers.
In the aftermath of the exhausting job on the cruise ship, Loid and Yor share a moment of comfort.

"I-I'm Yor Briar!" she finally tells him, her face turning red with emabrassment. "Yor Briar."
She stiffly puts out her hand. "Nice to meet you!" It comes out as a squeal because her classmate has really intense eyes.
Loid looks down at her hand, his eyes hard, and Yor considers retracting it before a boyish laugh escapes him. He grabs it.
"The pleasure is all mine, Yor," he says, but rather than shaking her hand, he kisses the back of it.
Yor's brain malfunctions.
