Summary
The Last Resort program is the newest attempt from the goverment to simultaneously appease the vampires and get rid of their homeless problem.
Every homeless person can sign up to be a vampire's alive blood donator. In return the vampire has to take care of them, give them housing and food and help them become a useful member of society again.
It sounds perfect.
The only problem is that no one really cares about homeless people and everyone is just glad that the vampires are satisfied.Neil would have never chosen to be a part of that program, but it isn't called Last Resort for nothing.
So he has to trust one Andrew Minyard to not hurt him and Neil is pretty sure that he won't have that kind of luck. He never did before.
Hopefully this isn't the last mistake he'll ever make.Series

Neil wrote AFTG and it's part autobiography, part fiction. No one would ever know the truth, except maybe Andrew. But Andrew would have to find the book first. In the meantime Neil spends his days in his own fandom, hiding in plain sight under the username 'Neil Josten' on ao3 and 'neil-josten' on tumblr, without knowing that Andrew uses tumblr, too. For years they are so close to each other and yet so far apart. Until one day one of the people Andrew follows reblogs one of Neil's posts.

“I won’t do anything stupid in Arizona,” Neil had promised. Aaron had given him a sidelong glance full of mistrust, but he hadn’t said anything else. Aaron’s intuition hadn’t been wrong—Neil went on to vanish for those fourteen days, leaving all of Aaron’s questions about Arizona, his family, where the hell he was, why why why unanswered.
Neil nearly sighed and just barely resisted. Aaron hadn’t said anything then, and Neil knew he’d have to touch base with him at some point too. They didn’t have many chances to talk between Aaron’s arrival and their picking up Andrew—he’d just hoped he wouldn’t have to contend with both twins in one night.

“You’re just grumpy because you weren’t even in the tournament,” Nicky says. “Sucks to suck. Should’ve come out on the page.”
“It wasn’t relevant to the story,” Kevin says. “And why are you so invested? You got knocked out in round two.”
“Duh, I’m a minor character,” Nicky says, rolling his eyes. “Neil is a main character. And Andrew is a love interest. But it’s crazy that they got pitted against each other when there were so many other characters from other popular books. Like, Neil, you beat Gideon Nav!”
“I don’t know who that is,” Neil says.
“God, you never pay attention to the reader universe,” Nicky says. “Your sentience of your status as a book character is wasted on you.”
“The reader universe doesn’t have Exy in it,” Aaron says.
