They would fuck, and then Clive would leave, going back to his own bunk for the night. It had worked well, despite Clive's budding feelings which he kept firmly to himself. That is, of course, until Cid refuses to let him leave one night, falling asleep with his arms wrapped around Clive. And Clive takes the chance to share his feelings with his sleeping bedmate.

Summary
Both of them look up when they hear the door to the building the girl had come from just a few minutes before open once more and a confused man with short hair wearing a bathrobe over his pajamas with slippers barely on his feet runs out looking around frantically.
“Mid?” He gives a slight holler as his eyes roam the sidewalk and parking lot, barely skimming over Clive.
He realizes the man can’t see the girl from where he’s crouched in front of Torgal so he stands and lifts a hand. “I think she’s over here!”
The man’s eyes land on them once more and widen before he rushes toward them, nearly losing a slipper in the snow.
AKA: Clive and Cid meet and eventually get together thanks to Mid being obsessed with Torgal, the best boy. A soft and sweet Christmas story.

Clive woke up, he hadn't expected that. Last he remembered was shattering the last mothercrystal and slowly turning to stone on the beach, the moon shining down on him. He had woken up in his younger body, in the aftermath of Phoenix Gate. He had retained his eikonic powers, but now he was young, strong, lithe. And Branded. This time around though, he vowed to use his knowledge to escape earlier, to do more, to save those he couldn't before.
But while still in the service of the army, he hadn't expected to be sent to Waloed. To go up against Lord Commander Telamon in his prime. And to be captured.
