Summary
Bill Cipher begs the Axolotl for a second chance on the verge of death. The Axolotl agrees, like the bleeding-heart idiot that it is. All Bill has to do is pass a little trial. How hard can that be for a dream demon of unfathomable cosmic power?
He wakes up in 1979. And he is not a dream demon of unfathomable cosmic power.

Summary
"Daddy look!"
Arthur stopped his cutting as he turned towards his daughter with a smile. "You know I can't see that Faroe."
He held out his hand and something smooth dropped into his hand. He hummed as his fingers carefully felt around the object. The base of it was slightly bumpy and tapered into a sharp point. So sharp in fact, it stabbed his thumb when he grazed it. It felt like a tooth, but it's way too large to come from anything that was supposed to live in the woods that surrounded their cabin.
"Where did you get this Faroe?"
---
People say that a blind man living with his young daughter on the outskirts of town is a bad idea. Arthur however has never had a problem in the years he lived in his little cabin. The forest is peaceful, and almost nothing troubles them.

Summary
Arthur wakes up. So many of his memories lately start with this. He wakes up, and everything hurts, and John is saying something—but John’s not saying anything this time, and there’s someone in this room with Arthur that sounds a lot like his friend.
--
John’s voice always rose and fell, low into a deep growling bass and high into a rough yell. But one constant, one word that never sounded different no matter the tone was how he said Arthur’s name. Emphasis on the ‘ar’ and ‘ur’, the ‘th’ in the middle always smooth like wind. Other people tended to hiss that sound, the ‘th’. With John, it seemed he knew exactly how to say it to make it glide.Based on all that, he deduced it was in fact John saying, “Arthur!”
