    Peter Parker has met Pepper Potts a few times since interning with Tony Stark. He really liked Pepper. She was sweet, she checked in on him when she visited the lab, gave him snacks, and took interest when he babbled at her. So when he noticed she hadn't visited the lab in a few weeks, he was worried. Tony reassured him that she was okay, just extremely busy with her work. It sounded like she was overworking herself. He couldn't do much about that, but he knew how to provide comfort during a stressful time. Baked goods.

    Pepper Potts was skeptical when Tony first took on a young intern. But Peter was a sweetheart and Tony was transforming into a much better person because of Peter. So naturally, she loved Peter. When she is having a stressful time at work, Peter brings Pepper her favorite dessert and she is touched.

    When Tony wants to introduce Peter to his best friend James Rhodes who had been paralyzed in the incident known as 'civil war,' he knows he wants to do his best to give the man a little slice of happiness. The only way he knows how: food.

    Rhodey does not know what to make of this anxious child who is apparently Spider-Man and Tony's new favorite person. Physical therapy days always take a toll on him, so when this sweet New York born and raised white boy makes him a peach cobbler, he does not expect it to remind him of home and give him the comfort he needs throughout this challenging time.

    Peter Parker took to the art of baking after Uncle Ben died. When he sees on the news that Tony Stark is badly injured just days after they returned from Germany, he stress bakes.

    Tony Stark is surprised the Spider-kid wants to see him when he's in the hospital after Siberia. He does not expect the kid to feel guilty about his injuries. And he does not expect homemade cannolis. The Italian desserts trigger memories of his mother and he has to deal with the turmoil of old memories and what he had learned out his death.

    Food is powerful medicine after all.
