Summary
Alex’s first reaction to hearing the plan for Christmas was an immediate “hell no.”
His second was a long drawn out sigh and sarcastically muttering under his breath, “Of course, his Majesty’s family has a fucking cabin in the mountains.”
But both Nora and June heard him and they both had something to say about Alex’s bah humbug attitude. June simply glared at him and Alex could feel her disappointment. She never understood Alex’s intense dislike for Henry. Nora rolled her eyes and started in again about his supposed hate boner for Henry and how he was actually in love with the pompous asshole.
OR another caketastrophe, a few misunderstandings and OPERATION ONE BED.

He plans to say something sweet perhaps, or at least something less abrupt and awkward. But like always, his mouth moves faster than his brain and he ends up blurting out “Do you think anyone actually knows what fun it is to ride a one horse open sleigh, or are we all just taking their word for it?”
Henry lifts his head up, and looks at Alex, fighting a smile. Alex can see the laughter in his eyes.
OR Operation One Bed continues when Alex and Henry go for a winter sleigh ride.

“Are-are you jealous?”
Alex pouts and pokes at his food with his fingers.
“Alex, he’s the photographer for the gala on Saturday” and when Alex doesn’t respond, he continues. “He came by to check out the space and set up some equipment and lighting,” Henry reaches over the table, grabbing Alex’s free hand and squeezing it. “You have nothing to worry about, darling” then drops his hand reaching for his second cup of spiced chai.
Alex’s shoulder drops and he goes back to his meal.
“Javier is a stupid name” he mumbles.
Henry laughs and kicks him under the table. “Don’t you have a cousin named Javier?”
He shrugs, “Yeah. So what? still a stupid name”.
