His hand reaches out before he can process it and he’s grabbing the back of her collar, lifting her a few feet off the ground like he’s ready to carry her and plop her back on her feet.

Corin jumps at the sight of the Bangboo that was helping her now wrapped up in red and yellow wrapping paper. Its body is entirely covered with a white bow around it as its head peeks out, its eyes downturned in panic.
A soft chuckle reaches her ears, the sound quiet and smooth like velvet before it rises in volume. It’s a sound of amusement, one that belongs to Lycaon which has her wanting to hide her face in her hands from embarrassment because he isn’t easy to make laugh. The fact that he was laughing at her mistake has her wishing she could melt into the floor.
