Summary
Grian knew the watchers were cruel of course but he hadn't truly understood until he realized their perfect punishment for him, unintentional or not. He had known of course that watchers grew far older than most players but since the oldest watcher recorded had only reached 1,500 he had never been worried about it, why would it matter since several of the hermits, his family, could also live that long. However here on the cusp of his 6,000th birthday he was ready to be gone.
How will he fair when a young knight travels up his mountain to call him back as the king of hermitcraft. Will the old avian be able to cope with the stress and familiarity, especially when a group of young players show up on the shores of the spawn island, a group that remind him so much of his long gone family.
Pearl didn’t know what she did when she finally stopped clutching the thread of life, all she remembered was the face of her last brother in anguish, she remembered wishing anything that they could all be together again, all her family in one place, then darkness.
