Was this his quirk? Was his body healing the wounds of his past with golden paint as if Izuku himself were a shattered vase, knit together with the love and care of a gentle potter who only wanted to see him still be of some use or sit beautifully on a shelf?

Katsuki snorted. “Whatever you want, Nerd. At this point, I have no idea what we are.”
“What if I want more than this?” He motioned between them as he asked.

“What the hell did you say, brat?!” The Robber asshole turned to him with what looked like a knife but then Izuku noticed it was actually part of his arm and oh - that’s an interesting quirk. Izuku wondered silently if the guy’s mother died in childbirth from knives like that. He shivered.
“I said; do you really have to ruin my damn breakfast? Are you hard of hearing? I can sign it for you.”

“That’s not true!” Katsuki was in his UA uniform, and it panned in on his hurt, terrified face. Sweat beaded down his forehead and temple as he panted.
