See here’s the thing; yes Enma is a naturally shy person but he just also happens to have a secret that he needs to keep from literally EVERY PERSON on the planet other than his parents, sister, his friends and their parents. And that secret?
He’s half-mer.
Now why does any of this matter? Why do you care about this at all? See here’s the thing: Enma in his stumbling, trying so hard not to hurt anyone’s feelings way, just agreed to go to a house party for Halloween.
And then he did the stupidest thing he could have done in this situation: told his friends about it.
So now he has to stop them from possibly outing all of them, or at least some of them, from outing all of them.

Shen Qingqiu watched as Luo Binghe stopped, kneeling, with his hands to the covered body he treated like hair-thin glass once more. “... Will Shizun still find me unworthy?” He murmured, voice small, tainted with injury. It was a rhetorical question, but more important, it was the sort of tragic scene one couldn’t intrude on without feeling a heartless animal. The wretched artefact’s compulsion didn’t care.
“Binghe’s shizun could never find him unworthy,” and for half a moment Luo Binghe turned towards him with an awestruck look, before it twisted into thorny, hostile briars.
Shen Qingqiu wakes up in his Sun-Moon Dew Mushroom body and stumbles on some seriously OP loot! Ordinarily he might be tempted to leave it, but weaponless as he is, it doesn’t make sense not to take it!!
… Maybe he shouldn’t have let the insanely rare find blind him to the risk of carrying around what amounts to an instant truth curse.

Every rational part of his mind told him not to look. The fact that he immediately and eagerly picked up the first book spoke to something very questionable in his nature. Or, maybe, his own unacknowledged obsession with the protagonist, even down to Luo Binghe’s… personal interests.
Contrary to all Shen Qingqiu’s expectations, though, it was not porn. It was something much, much worse. Though he wouldn’t know that for several more minutes.
After the Immortal Alliance Conference, Shen Qingqiu is sadly cleaning Luo Binghe's old room when he discovers a stash of secret diaries hidden beneath the floorboards. Burning with curiosity he begins to read only to learn that his disciple's feelings for him might not have been quite as pure as he'd always assumed.

His eyes scan the patrons who look at him with annoyance before he finds Lan Sizhui and Lan Jingyi sitting together, drinking warm tea.
“Senior Wei?” Lan Sizhui, always so kind, stands up and walks over to Wei Wuxian with a worried look on his face.
“Here, take this!” Wei Wuxian pushes the basket into Lan Sizhui’s chest.
“What—”
“Oh, dear! Oh, Heavens!” Wei Wuxian exclaims, taking a step back. “I can’t believe I just did that—fuck!”
Lan Jingyi joins them, standing next to Lan Sizhui. He beams as he looks into the basket. “Puppies!”
