Summary
It could be said that the interpretation of art, not the artwork itself, exposes our true hearts more than any other action. Fire, however, pushes us to act on instinct alone.
James Bond is ready to leave the world of the shadows, until seeing Q bleeding onto the street below is the spark to the fire. When Q sat him in front of that painting in the National Gallery and not-so subtly alluded to his similarities with the big, broken ship, it became a sort of game. Over the years, they continued meeting in front of paintings. at first, it was to expose the flaws in the other. Then, steadily, it exposed how they truly felt and who they truly are.
Beside Q's hospital bed, Bond thinks on their conversations about art and the moments in between.
