Kim can't sleep. Chay can't sleep. Somehow this leads to Kim spending his nights in Chay's bed with the Great Wall of Pillows standing firmly between them.

Richie reaches out, hesitates, and then rests his hand gently on the top of Eddie’s forearm, gasping softly when his hand makes contact with warm skin. Eddie laughs a little, but it’s watery and shaky.
“I’m fine Richie,” he says, and moves his other hand to rest it on top of Richie’s, squeezing a little. “I don’t think it’s me that’s hurt.”
Richie looks up sharply from the mesmerizing sight of their hands twined together, and frowns.
“What’s that mean?”
“You need to wake up Richie,” he says, staring into Richie’s soul with his big, haunted eyes. “Just wake up.”
