Summary
Robin Buckley never really thought too hard about her manifestation growing up.
There wasn’t really a way she could have flaunted it like the other kids did in middle school, even if she wanted to. It was subtle, really subtle; one could easily look at Robin and believe that she was just part of the population whose latent powers just never manifested. Her gift was designed to defend- to ‘create an even the playing field’- by dampening the magic of others around her.
But at this particular moment, Robin Buckley was certain that she didn’t need any superpowers to absolutely decamate the man standing before her.
