A field trip to Stark Industries. Nothing could go wrong in one of the safest places in the world, right?
Bullying, reagents mixed in excess and an explosion of molten metal would say otherwise. But Peter could handle it, he always could. The demeaning, the shoves, the accusations, he would take it all in stride and forgive, because that was what Spider-man would do. And when it comes to Peter Parker, he had a lot of empathy to give and not a lot of self-preservation much to Tony's worry.

Eugene 'Flash' Thompson is a lot of things, but not the nicest person around.
Contrary to popular beliefs, he is aware of his actions and words but he does them proudly. They were his displays of power, giving him the attention that he lacked back at home, not that he would admit. But when the incident occurs, he reconsiders his opinions and actions for the first time as he learns more about Peter, deviating from the path he thought was right.

It's been two months since Peter last saw him… since they fought. It's been two months since he stormed out of the lab and Mr. Stark told him that he shouldn't come back. Peter is sixteen, he's old enough to stay home alone while May is out of town, even if that's not his aunt's first choice. It's ok though, because Peter has this. He can do this, no problem. Everything is fine. Then the power goes out and along with it the heat. Still, he's fine. It's all good. He'll just bundle up and wear extra layers, and wrap himself up in a blanket. And then there's a burglary in the building. It's no problem because he's Spider Man. Except it is a problem because the burglar was trying to get into his apartment and now the door knob is broken, and he can't lock the door and he's completely freaked out! Dark apartment, no lock on the door, and oh yeah, he's shaking. And he still has two more nights on his own without May. Not knowing where else to go, he goes to Stark Tower to find Tony.

Damn universe and damn timing. Peter knew, he just knew, that with his Parker luck, Mr. Stark would definitely notice something was off. Cruel universe, cruel timing, and cruel underdeveloped prefrontal cortex that had royally screwed up his executive functioning in favor of impressing MJ. Peter glanced at his phone: 10:40 a.m. He and his prefrontal cortex had twenty minutes to figure this out. He needed a plan—any plan.

Peter and the cats of New York have an understanding: he helps them down from trees and tall buildings, and in return, they ignore his spider-like traits that trigger their hunter instincts. So, he honestly thinks he'll be fine when visiting Greece, one of the stray cat capitals of the world.
But he's wrong.
He's so fucking wrong.
Feat. Peter being a walking catastrophe—thank goodness for MJ and Ned—Morgan being a juice pops fiend, and Tony being a good dad to them both.
