    “You still feeling on edge?” Steve asks softly, and Eddie nods against his chest. “Do you want me to hold you?” He taps once, firmly, between Eddie’s shoulder blades, “Or do you want me to help you another way?” This time, he taps twice in the same place, and Eddie takes a moment to mull his options before tapping twice against Steve’s ribs.

    Steve nods, his chin rustling through Eddie’s head. “In a sex way?” Again, one tap. “Or a non-sex way?” Two taps.

    Eddie’s heart stutters in his chest, something other than panic budding in his brain as he realizes what Steve is suggesting. He quickly taps once against his ribs, and he can feel Steve’s smile on the top of his head.
