In front of Izuku, Katsuki shifted slightly, his body leaning back against Shinso’s front. Katsuki tilted his head, just enough to meet Shinso’s smoldering, tired eyes. Shinso’s hand didn’t move from Katsuki’s hip, and Katsuki’s expression softened in a way Izuku had never seen before.
And for some reason he didn’t want to unpack right now, Izuku saw red.

He takes a step back, before sprinting forward, ignoring everything in his path as his vision tunnels dangerously. It seems like only a second before he’s got the villain’s errand boy by the collar, one explosive palm hovering an inch from the man’s head.
“Bakugo! Stop!” Aizawa’s cries fall on deaf ears as Katsuki lets out a threatening pop, trying desperately to hold back whatever is happening inside his chest.
Look, Kacchan! Isn’t it amazing! This little guy was just gone, but I healed him up no problem! I brought him back!
“S–say that again,” Katsuki whispers, his face inches from the villain’s and his voice shaky.

Izuku has a resurrection quirk; he can bring things back from the dead. One year ago, just before he and Katsuki were set to start UA togther, he disappeared, and no one has seen him since. Katsuki, and everyone else, believed him to be dead.Until now.

Summary
When Izuku found his room again, he could hear music behind the door- loud, with lots of screaming and guitars. His heart sunk a little, but he tried not to pass judgement too quickly. The guy inside was alone right now, after all. He’d probably use headphones once he met his new roommate, right? Izuku took a deep breath and twisted the doorknob, pushing it open as casually as he could to hide his nerves. He thought about the greeting he'd rehearsed in the mirror earlier today.
“Hey! I didn’t see you here earlier! It's nice to meet you, I’m--” Izuku froze in the doorway, the other man in the room mirroring him. He was holding up a sweater, clearly in the middle of putting it on a hanger when Izuku had barged in. Izuku had been preparing for a lot of possibilities behind the door, but this was not on his list.
Blond, spiky hair, and eyes like fire with a temperament to match. Katsuki Bakugou, undoubtedly.

“Yeah, I fucking do.” His voice was steady now, cold and resolute, though his hands trembled at his sides. “If I’d never met you, I wouldn’t be covered in scars. I wouldn’t have a fucked-up heart. I wouldn’t be in this much fucking pain!”
Izuku’s tears streamed freely down his cheeks as he stood there, stunned. “I-I’m sorry,” he choked out, his voice barely above a whisper.
Without another word, Katsuki grabbed the car door and slammed it shut with finality. The sound echoed through the quiet, like a door closing on everything they had been through together.
