Summary
An aerie is a recessed ledge on the side of a cliff. It is commonly chosen by birds to build their nests upon, due to the inherent protection they provide. Many migratory birds will return to the same cliffside so long as it has adequate aeries for the colony.
Humans also need a safe place to grow and build a family. They just go about it differently.
In the case of Tony Stark, sometimes "differently" is an understatement.

Sabrina held her breath as the next words were softly uttered from his mouth.

Bucky's life took on a life of its own - the last thing he really remembers is standing in the field, asking where the fight was.
