Philza had always allowed his kids to express themselves. The way he figured it, there was no reason to not let them— children, especially as they got into their teenage years, knew who they were, and no amount of forced conformity would change that. He could force them to act like every other teenage boy, but it would only serve to harm them.
When Techno asks to dye his hair pink, Phil immediately agrees. The action seems simple to him, but it means more than he could imagine to his son.

Tommy frowned, not quite understanding the analogy. He in fact, would like a house made of gold very much, thank you. Opting out to change the subject instead, “Why’s part of your hair white anyways?” He questioned curiously.
At that, Wilbur smiled sinisterly. It looked so calm and ominous that for a moment, just a brief flash, it reminded him of Dream. Dream who, dream who did things to him. “Death,” Wilbur replied honestly, face void of any emotion lest Tommy be able to read him. “You remember that, don’t you, Tommy?”
Inspired by the song "Eight by Sleeping At Last"- definitely recommend giving it a listen!

But the man wasn’t looking for a fight, in fact, his watching eyes were filled with curiosity and perhaps a tad of affection. He had no idea who the little boy was, and what his story may be but there was something about him that drew the top 6th hero in."

Hero Whisper (better known as Wilbur) is struggling with the way the hero world is wrapped around his life, taking those he most cares about. Homeless orphan Tommy is used to being alone, but that doesn't mean he necessarily likes it... or wants it.
Everyone else is mildly confused yet extremely supportive as they get dragged around for the ride of Wilbur and Tommy taking a second chance at family.
