Summary
Trying to not look at Astarion was like trying not to breathe.
It was too hard not to.
When you received you invite written by a frail hand, you thought you were over him. You tried finding him after he retreated into the shadows. Even staying in Baldur's Gate longer than you originally planned in the hopes he would magically appear with an apology and an explanation.
But when he didn't show in tavern nor sewer, you had no choice but to leave the city.
As far as break-ups went, his left you empty.
But now he was standing under the many torch lights as if nothing happened. Drinking wine from a goblet and fluffing his perfect hair while talking with Shadowheart. Conversing as if all those months you spent sharing a tent, holding each other on so many nights, meant nothing.
Like you meant nothing.

Summary
"Your heart cracks in your chest as you finally recognise what that look in his eyes is.
Understanding. He understands.
It’s a relief, terrifying and dizzying in its way. You don’t know what he understands about it, what experience of his own he sees in you, but it’s that soft empathy in his eyes that lets you sigh softly, dropping your head to your knees once more as you speak that terrible hope you’ve clung to since the day you woke on that nautiloid.
“I want to be good.” "
a written account of how the dark urge's blackened heart learned to feel and, later, love again, while somehow dragging along astarion's own undead heart for the ride.

Summary
You managed to convince Astarion not to go through with the Rite of Profane Ascension. He remains a vampire spawn, and you now offer your blood from time to time to help with his sanguine hunger until a solution is found.
Even though you had both decided to stay as friends back at Moonrise Towers, lines begin to blur once more as other cravings come to the surface… and things with Astarion are seldom uncomplicated.
_____________
Impatience gripped your nerves ferociously. "These things take time, Astarion."
"Oh, my darling… I have all the time in the world, but you only have a limited supply of blood," he whispered softly and you could almost taste his taunting words.

Summary
Aethelflaed was the very picture of perfection when she was suddenly thrust from her lavish life in the Upper City and implanted with a mind flayer tadpole. She meets several companions along the way, including Astarion, who is extremely vocal about his distaste for her. However, the party soon begins to realize she really isn't the perfect patriar she wants to be perceived as, for better or worse. Not only that, she writes letters day and night to a mystery person, but won't reveal who her recipient is. As the party makes their way closer and closer to Baldur's Gate, her companions begin to unravel her secrets, her character, and for some, her clothing.
