Summary
Blackbeard has been stabbed (even knows the best places for it, now). He’s been shot. He’s been starved, and whipped, and beat. Seeing Stede Bonnet standing on the deck of the ship feels like all of that combined. Or maybe something different entirely.
“Captain Thomas?” he asks.
“Ah.” Stede winces. “That would be me.”
Ed raises an eyebrow. “Seeking revenge on Blackbeard?”
“More like seeking Blackbeard on the Revenge, but you know how word of mouth can twist things.” Stede laughs awkwardly.

Ed and Stede find their way back to each other, slowly and clumsily.
